This experience allows us to learn about Patagonia's flora, fauna and geological aspects, while discovering stories of the first settlers and enjoying an authentic Guiso Patagónico in a typical setting.

The tour departs from El Calafate to the private natural reserve "Estancia 25 de Mayo", located near the town and Chilean border. During the journey we'll make stops for geological interpretations, marine fossil observation and guanaco spotting along with other local wildlife.

We'll visit the site where the first settler family established themselves and follow the Calafate Stream course, appreciating vegetation changes according to altitude. At the Chilean border, we'll enjoy panoramic views of Baguales and Centinela mountains that mark the boundary between both countries.

The tour includes a stop at "La Sección" outpost to taste field stew with homemade bread and cheese, as the local baqueanos traditionally did. Finally we'll return to El Calafate.
